BV County Absentee Ballots Latest Information

Buena Vista County Auditor Sue Lloyd says they've received over 45-hundred absentee ballots as of late this (Fri) afternoon. 

She says her office had received 4,413 absentee ballots as of Thursday night, and estimated that they had gotten another 140 today (Fri). 

Lloyd says there are 309 absentee's that were sent out that have yet to be returned.

The BV County Election Commissioner’s office at the Courthouse will be open this Saturday October 31st from 8am to 5pm for registration and voting absentee.

The last day to vote absentee is Monday, November 2nd.  For those mailing their ballot, they need to be postmarked no later than this coming Monday.   

A little over 885-thousand Iowans have already cast their ballots, which is 65-percent of the total turnout in Iowa from the 2016 election.  Approximately 100-thousand ballots have been requested, but not cast, statewide.
