Another Daily High For COVID-19 Hospitalizations

COVID-19 hospitalizations in Iowa have reached another daily high, with 605 currently listed, which is nine more than the previous day.
135 of those that are hospitalized are in the northwest Iowa region, which is five more patients than Wednesday.
Statewide, 135 patients are in ICU, and 56 are on ventilators.
There have been 11 more deaths from 10am Wednesday to 10am today (Thur), bringing the total to 1,691. 75-percent of the cases have recovered.
There are now approximately 122-thousand COVID-19 cases in Iowa. There have been 17 more cases in Buena Vista County, bringing the county's total to 2,289. There are 257 active cases in BV County.
This week's White House Coronavirus Task Force report on Iowa concludes nearly all of Iowa's counties have moderate to high transmission of COVID.
There are now 25 counties that have a 14-day positivity rate of 15-percent or higher, including O'Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Carroll, Woodbury, and Lyon.
