Significant Jump in COVID-19 Hospitalizations

There are currently 596 patients that are hospitalized with COVID-19 in Iowa, 32 more than were listed on Tuesday.
COVID-19 hospitalizations have gone up by 34-percent since the beginning of October.
130 of those that are hospitalized are in the northwest Iowa region, which is ten more than the previous day.
Statewide, 136 patients are in ICU, and 51 are on ventilators.
There have been 22 more deaths from 10am Tuesday to 10am today (Wed), bringing the total to 1,680.
There are now over 119-thousand COVID-19 cases in Iowa. There have been 11 more cases in Buena Vista County, bringing the county's total to 2,272.
There are now just two active cases on the Buena Vista University campus as of Tuesday morning.
