October 27, 2020 1:08pm

Endgrain Workshop has teamed up with Buena Vista County Veterans Affairs to raise funds for local veterans and give away a POW/MIA wooden flag created by Endgrain owner Levi Boyd.

The flag giveaway is hosted on the Endgrain Workshop's Facebook page, which is where rules of the contest can be found. The winner of the flag will be drawn on Wednesday, November 11th live on Facebook.

"We were given the idea on Facebook to team up with a local group to do a giveaway and raise money and awareness," Boyd says.  "What better group than the BV County Veterans Affairs."

From 2014 to 2018, there were 916 veterans in Buena Vista County alone. All of the funds from the Go Fund Me page will be donated to local vets. The campaign goal is to raise one-thousand dollars.
