Diersen's Three Touchdown Catches Lift Falcons

OA-BCIG built a 43-0 halftime lead en route to a 49-7 win over East Sac County in the 2nd round of the Class 1A playoffs in Ida Grove.
Cooper Dejean threw four touchdown passes, three of which were to Griffin Diersen of 18, 42, and 48 yards. Kolton Knop added four catches for 83 yards, including a 22 yard touchdown. Dejean completed 11 of 15 passes for 223 yards.
Dejean added a five yard rushing touchdown and a 60 yard punt return TD. He sat out all of the 2nd half. OA-BCIG's five offensive touchdown drives in the 1st half only took a little over four minutes combined.
East Sac County scored on the opening drive of the 2nd half on an 80 yard drive that lasted 6:29, as Tyler Schmitt rushed for a two-yard touchdown. Schmitt ran for 73 yards on the night, and Jake Paysen had 79.
OA-BCIG found the end zone again in the 4th quarter, thanks to a 62 yard drive capped by an eight yard run by Zach Hemer.
OA-BCIG outgained the Raiders by nearly 200 yards, as the top-ranked Falcons are now 8-0, as they extend their winning streak to 21. OA-BCIG will host a 3rd round game next Friday against Western Christian, which will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA.
East Sac says goodbye to eight seniors, as they finish at 3-6.
