Iowa, Gonzaga To Meet In Sioux Falls On National Stage

October 21, 2020 10:47am

The University of Iowa men’s basketball team will return to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Dec. 19, to face Gonzaga in a matchup between two of the country’s top teams. The game will be televised nationally on CBS and will tipoff at 11 a.m.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale at a later date. Masks are required for all spectators and will be available for free at the door. The Sanford Pentagon will work closely with the schools and individual states and be ready to adjust based on guidelines and safety measures for all involved.

Iowa’s matchup against Gonzaga, replaces this summer’s previously announced game against Oregon State in Sioux Falls (Dec. 22).

The contest will be Iowa’s second trip to the Pentagon, which has hosted 28 NCAA Division I men’s college basketball games since opening in 2013. The Hawkeyes defeated Colorado, 80-73, on Dec. 22, 2017. This will be Gonzaga’s first visit to the Pentagon.
