Woman Arrested For Threatening a Man With Gun

A Storm Lake woman was arrested for making a threat with a handgun.
Storm Lake Police were called to a domestic disturbance at approximately 5:45pm Wednesday at 514 East 5th Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with an adult male, as well as an adult female. The female was identified as 31-year-old Carolina Alvarez of Storm Lake.
After an on-scene investigation, police allege Alvarez armed herself with a handgun and walked to the 5th Street residence where she confronted the male victim who was seated inside a vehicle and pointed the handgun at him in a threatening manner. Police allege that a two-year-old child was also in the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Alvarez was taken into custody by officers without incident. Police further located and seized a loaded handgun on scene. Alvarez was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault While Displaying a Weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor...Carrying Weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor...and Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor
Alvarez was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
