Arrest Made in Cherokee County for Vehicle Thefts

A man has been arrested in Cherokee County for stealing multiple vehicles.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, authorities were dispatched to Quimby for a stolen vehicle report back on September 26th. During the course of the investigation, it was found that 24-year-old Bradley Kots of Sutherland had taken a vehicle without the owners consent. On September 27th, the sheriff's office received an additional report of a stolen vehicle in rural Cherokee County. The investigation showed that Kots had also stolen that vehicle, which was later recovered in Webster County after it had been wrecked.
Arrest warrants were issued for Kots for Operation Without Owners Consent, an aggravated misdemeanor...and 1st Degree Theft, a Class C Felony.
Kots was later found and arrested. The incident remains under investigation, and additional charges are expected.
