Storm Lake To Limit Fans For Friday Night Football Game

September 17, 2020 1:37pm

The Storm Lake football team is hosting the Spencer Tigers Friday night and the Storm Lake Community School District released the following statement regarding who can attend the game.

"The guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health is to reduce the number of people at large gatherings/events.

Players, cheerleaders and band members will be given 4 tickets each for family and friends. Community members that have paid for an activity pass will be allowed entrance. All other fans and students must have a pass/wristband at the gate to be allowed entrance.

Staff passes that were given out at the beginning of the year will not work for admission to the game this week, the same applies for student activity passes.

We understand this will be frustrating to some of you, We apologize and understand your frustration. Our hope is that our positivity rate will go down so we can once again allow everyone admission that wants to attend".

Spencer is 2-1 and Storm Lake is coming off their first win of the year last week.  Below is an interview with Tornado coach Rudy Wieck.
