BV County Applies for Election Funding

Buena Vista County has applied for 16-thousand 600 dollars to go toward COVID-19 prevention efforts during the November 3rd general election.
The funds could be used for personal protective equipment, supplies needed at polling precincts, security items that may be needed due to a change in locations or setups due to COVID-19, training, and additional staffing needs.
The Secretary of State's Office has received funding via the Election Assistance Commission from the CARES Act and Help America Vote Act to deal with coronavirus concerns.
