Ridge View Wins at West Monona

Brody Deitering rushed for 157 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns in Ridge View 30-6 victory over West Monona in Onawa.  

Ridge View scored on the opening possession, going 54 yards in eight plays, as quarterback Cade Harriman's three yard run, followed by a two-point conversion pass to Kole Winkel put the Raptors up 8-0.  

West Monona's 1st series ended with a Brecken Conover interception, which was followed by Deitering's first score, a 65-yard run in which multiple tackles were broken.  Harriman's two-point run made it 16-0 less than five minutes into the game.  

After back to back punts, West Monona scored on a 54-yard touchdown pass to get within 16-6.  Ridge View's next drive ended in a punt, but Harriman intercepted a pass on the first play of the ensuing series.  An eight-play, 46-yard touchdown drive followed, as Deitering's four-yard run boosted the Ridge View lead to 22-6 with just over nine minutes left in the half, and that was the score at the midway point.  

West Monona fumbled the 2nd half kickoff, giving the Raptors the ball at the Spartans 28 yard line.  After eight plays, a two-yard run by Deitering, and two-point pass from Harriman to Winkel made the score 30-6.  Ridge View had a fumble recovery late in the game, as well as an interception by Asher Endrulat.  

Ridge View outgained West Monona 302 yards to 235.  231 of Ridge View's yards were in the 1st half.  Harriman rushed 16 times for 78 yards, and also threw for 44.  

West Monona drops to 1-2 overall, 0-1 in Class A District 10.  

Ridge View wins their 2nd straight, now 2-1, 1-0.  They'll host Logan Magnolia for homecoming next week.
