In late December of 2018, Storm Lake Police received a report that Pascual allegedly repeatedly sexually abused and threatened to kill a 12-year-old girl at a residence in Storm Lake throughout 2018. Officers arrested Pascual in early January of 2019.
Pascual entered a written Alford plea for assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor...and indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor. He then entered a verbal Alford plea for the crime of lascivious acts with a child, a class C felony.
