Jacob Kramer threw six strong innings and Carter Aalbers delivered a two-run triple in a three run 2nd inning and M-O-C Floyd Valley beat Storm Lake 3-0 in a class 3A district final played Monday night in Orange City.

Storm Lake starting pitcher Hunter DeMey cruised through the first inning striking out two batters and retiring the side in order on only eleven pitches.  In the 2nd inning however he allowed a leadoff walk, then a single, followed by another walk to load the bases.  Kyle Christy would then hit a sacrifice fly to deep center field to score the game's first run.  DeMey would then get the next batter to pop out but Aalbers hit an oh-two pitch to the left center field gap plating two more runs and that was more than enough for Kramer and the Dutch.

Kramer went six innings and allowed only one hit, a Mark Eddie two-out single in the 3rd inning. Adam De Boer pitched a scoreless 7th and the Dutch improved to 18-2 with the win and will face Sergeant Bluff-Luton in a Sub-state final Wednesday night.

Storm Lake never had more than one man on base in any inning and stranded five base runners.

DeMey suffered the loss throwing one and 2/3 innings, giving up three earned runs on two hits striking out two and walking three.  Sam Dvergsten was great in relief tossing three and 1/3 innings allowing no runs on two hits and striking out two.  Austin Gaffney pitched a scoreless 6th inning for the Green and White who finish the year 9-10 overall and graduate two seniors, Tyler Dvergsten and Fletcher Kucera.
