The Storm Lake City Council this week approved an intersection improvement agreement in relation to the new Early Childhood Center that is being constructed north of Hope Evangelical Free Church.
The Iowa Department of Transportation approved a turning lane, traffic light, and rail signal at the intersection of Highways 110 and 7. The School Board approved the agreement at their meeting last month. The City will act as the project manager, and will pay costs associated with the grant application.
Funding for the project will come from federal funds, a transportation safety grant, U-Step grants funds, and school district and city funds.
