ISU Extension Offering Land Leasing and Value Meetings in the Area

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach's annual Land Leasing and Value Meetings for agriculture property owners and tenants will be held at 11 different locations throughout August.
The meetings include August 4th at 1:30pm at the Pocahontas Fairgrounds Expo Building. Call 712-335-3103 to preregister.
Another meeting will be August 13th at 9am at the Extension and Outreach office in Storm Lake. Preregister by calling 732-5056.
Each land leasing and value meeting will focus on current farmland value and lease rate trends, methods for determining fair ag rents for 2021, and farmland lease communication and legalities including how to write and terminate a lease.
Cost is 20-dollars per individual, or 30-dollars per couple for those that register at least two days prior to the meeting date. Those who register after the deadline can expect a five-dollar late fee.
Meetings will last approximately two-and-a-half hours. Participants will receive a leasing arrangement book, as well as access to research-based resources from ISU Extension and Outreach.
