Big Change in Iowa COVID-19 Recovery Rate ; 213 More Cases Statewide
June 30, 2020 10:01am
There's a big change in the COVID-19 recovery rate in Iowa on the Department of Public Health's coronavirus webpage.
The state's recovery rate is over 79-percent. There are 28,941 positive COVID-19 cases in Iowa. That means there are a little over 52-hundred active COVID-19 cases in Iowa. There have been 213 more positive cases since 10am on Monday.
The death total has increased by five. 712 Iowans have died due to the virus. There are 1,695 positive cases in Buena Vista County, as there's been no more cases added the last 24 hours. The recovery number in BV County has jumped significantly as well, now at 78-percent. BV County had been well below the state's recovery percentage, but Public Health Administrator Pam Bogue recently attributed that in part to the state having difficulty contacting local cases.
Approximately 304-thousand Iowans, one out of ten, have been tested for COVID-19.
