University of Iowa junior offensive lineman Tristan Wirfs was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of Thursday's NFL Draft. Wirfs was the 13th player picked overall.

In 2017, Wirfs, a native of Mount Vernon, Iowa, became the first true freshman to start for Ferentz at either offensive tackle position.   
 
Iowa has had eight offensive linemen selected in the NFL Draft in the last decade and 18 during the Ferentz era.

University of Iowa junior defensive end A.J. Epenesa was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of Thursday's NFL Draft. He was the 54th player picked overall and the 22nd selection of the second round.

University of Iowa senior defensive back Michael Ojemudia was selected by the Denver Broncos in the third round of Friday's NFL Draft. Ojemudia was the 77th player picked overall.
