Cyclones pick up 7th win

 A hot-shooting first half helped Iowa State (7-4) get back in the win column with a 89-59 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne (7-8) Sunday afternoon inside Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones build up a 26-point first-half lead on the back of 10 first-half 3-pointers, five of which came from the hands of Tyrese Haliburton and two more which he assisted. The Cyclone sophomore led ISU with 22 points, six assists and four rebounds. Joining him in double figures was Solomon Young, who notched his 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting and Terrence Lewis, who came off the bench for a season-high 11.

Iowa State returns from the break next Tuesday, Dec. 31, to host Florida A&M. Tip between the Cyclones and Rattlers inside Hilton Coliseum will be at 6 p.m.
