Spencer girls pull away in 2nd half for win

Jada Piercy scored a game high 15 points leading three Spencer players in double figures as the Tigers beat Storm Lake 60-41 Friday night at Spencer.

Allison Piercy added 13 and Alexa Johnson chipped in with ten points as the Tigers won their second game of the season.  Spencer led 27-16 at the half and then they would hit a three pointer to start the 3rd quarter building a 30-16 lead.  Storm Lake would counter with an 8-0 run to make it 30-24 with four minutes to play in the quarter but the Tigers bumped the lead back to 40-30 at the end of the third and never looked back.

Storm Lake was led by Mary Yanga's 14 points and Holly Dierenfield added eleven.  The Tornadoes fall to 0-7 on the season.
