Comments from coach Lindsay Brown, “All of the girls put in a great effort tonight. It was good to get in the pool competitively, work the kinks out, and see how people perform in competition. Special recognition tonight goes to Tiffany Trujillo for improving her personal best in the 100 back from regionals last year by 2 seconds in the first meet of the season and to Melissa Kestel for winning the 100 breast stroke in her first meet as a freshman. Mia Alvarez gets the Heart and Hustle award for the night for being flexible and willing to help the team in any way. Also a special thanks to captains Emma Jensen and Kennedy Tate for their leadership this far in helping me acclimate to the high school arena. “
