Olivia Larsen's three run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning proved to be the difference in a Newell-Fonda 6-4 win over Ridge View in a class 1A regional final played at Fonda Monday night.

The Mustangs sixth inning rally started when Maggie Walker drew a lead off walk, Anna Bellcock then reached on an error, Kylie Robinson would then walk to load the bases.  With the Raptors defense playing in, Macy Sievers hit a ground ball to third that Madeline Else fielded and threw to home to force out Walker for the first out.  Larsen came up to the plate, having tripled in her previous at-bat, and she hit a one strike pitch to deep left center to clear the bases and give the Mustangs a 5-4 lead.  She later scored on an RBI sacrifce pop fly off the bat of Emma Stewart.

Ridge View built a 4-1 lead after they scored twice in the 3rd and plated two more runs in the top of the fifth. In the 3rd inning, Mikayla Kolpin led off with a single, Rachel Kenny followed with another single and after Madeline Else bunted them over to 2nd and 3rd base Kennedy Mason delivered an RBI ground out to tie the game at 1-1.  Emerson Else would then deliver an RBI single and the Raptors led 2-1.  They plated another pair in the fifth when Madeline Else and Mason hit back to back singles.  A wild pitch put them 2nd and 3rd with one out.  Emerson Else then hit a ground ball back to the pitcher and Ella Larsen threw to 3rd for the force out.   Kara Richard would then come through in the clutch as she stroked a two-out two-run single to put the Raptors ahead 4-1.

The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead when Kylie Robinson hit an infield RBI single, and scored their second run in the bottom of the fifth when Olivia Larsen hit a one-out triple and Emma Stewart pushed a bunt down the first base line to score Larsen.

Ella Larsen threw all seven innings and gave up four runs on seven hits, striking out three and she gave up no walks while retiring the last seven batters she faced.

Emerson Else took the loss giving up six runs on nine hits with no strike outs and she walked three.

Mason had two of the Raptors seven hits.  Stewart and both Larsen's had two hits for Newell-Fonda.
