Threat Leads To Arrest

February 04, 2016

An arrest has been made after Storm Lake police early Tuesday morning were dispatched to the Tyson pork plant to investigate a threat.

Officers were told by the reporting party that she and her husband… 25-year-old Rotha Nhey of Alta… had engaged in a verbal argument when Nhey allegedly threatened to shoot the reporting party.

Police took Nhey to the police station for questioning. Police learned Nhey did have a firearm at his residence in Alta. Police and sheriff’s deputies located and seized a 40-caliber handgun and a valid concealed carry permit issued to Nhey.

Nhey was charged with first-degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor… and jailed on a two-thousand dollar bond.
