December 01, 2015

Two people were charged after Storm Lake police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the Citizens Community Credit Union lot at 609 Flindt Drive last Saturday night.

Police allege they detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. One occupant… 19-year-old Saydie Grier of Storm Lake… was wanted by Buena Vista County for failure to appear in court on a third-degree theft charge. She was arrested on a two-thousand dollar bond.

Police allege 21-year-old Lavonte McCullough of Storm Lake refused officers instructions. He was assisted out of the vehicle and taken into custody. McCullough was charged with interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor… and jailed on a 300-dollar bond.

Police say additional charges are pending.
