Santa’s Castle Opens For Season

November 26, 2015

Santa’s Castle in downtown Storm Lake opens for the season Thursday afternoon. Hours for the Thanksgiving holiday… Thanksgiving Day: 2pm-5pm…  Friday and Saturday: 1-4pm & 6-8pm… and Sunday: 1-4pm.

The castle… located at East Fifth and Erie Streets… is filled with over 60 decorated Christmas trees. Visitors are invited to meander through the castle to view over 70 vintage animated figures. The collection of antique figures has been gathered from department store displays over the years, some dating back to the 1920’s. Stuffed animals dressed in human attire enjoy a tea party. Animated mice assist the elves to hang garland along the fireplace mantle. A favorite among annual visitors to the castle is the model train layout and village set.

Santa will also be on hand… presenting each child that visits the castle with an autographed book.

Regular hours for Santa’s Castle begin on December first… when it will be open Monday-Friday: 6-8pm…  Saturdays: 1-4pm & 6-8pm… and Sundays: 1-4pm.

Admission: $4 for Adults(14+ yrs) and $2.50 for children (2-13yrs)  Children under 2 years are free.
