High school students lined up with armloads of boxes for delivery for Operation Christmas Child.

The boxes were filled with gifts, toys, school supplies and hygiene items for children in Third World Countries for Christmas. The students also raised the funds for shipping. In addition to the boxes prepared by the Saint Mary’s students, 75 boxes came from the students at Saint Patrick’s Elementary in Cedar Falls. Former Saint Mary’s Elementary Principal Bev Mach is now the principal at Saint Patrick’s and offered to partner with her former school. Seventy five other boxes came from former Saint Mary’s employees Brad and Kay Wilkening of Des Moines.

Saint Mary’s High School educator Ryan Berg is the moderator for the project.
