Cherokee County Hit-and-Run Accident

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a hit-and-run accident between Marcus and Cleghorn on highway three Monday morning.
The department says a man was injured when an occupant in a passing vehicle struck him by opening a car door as the vehicle drove by. It happened about 7:45 Monday morning. The suspect vehicle is a white Oldsmobile with no license plates. There were two or three white males in the car.
The man who was hit was walking along the highway after his vehicle broke down. The man said he was struck by the front passenger door of the Oldsmobile, which drove off.
