Suspicious Car Leads To Arrest
November 17, 2015
A Storm Lake man was arrested after police Sunday night investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle was reported in the county, with the reporting party following it to a parking lot at Buena Vista University. Police made contact with 19-year-old Davonte Johnson of Storm Lake as he left the vehicle. Police allege Johnson was smoking a controlled substance while parked on a road in the county at which time a witness saw the vehicle and called 911. Police allege they seized marijuana from Johnson.
Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor… and jailed on a one-thousand dollar bond.
Police impounded the vehicle, and located a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The investigation is continuing with additional arrests anticipated.
