Six NW Iowa Counties To Promote Attractions
November 12, 2015
Six northwest Iowa counties, including Buena Vista, are embarking upon a new state initiative designed to improve and promote various attractions in the region.
Ted Karousis of the Northwest Iowa Planning and Zoning Commission, which is overseeing the project, says it’s part of an initiative being backed by the Iowa Parks Foundation. He says the foundation is making funding available to assist in the process. Karousis says one of the primary goals behind the initiative is to attract more, younger people to the region, by better promoting the quality of life that’s available here, along with the recreational and cultural opportunities that are present.
In addition to Buena Vista… other counties involved are Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, O’Brien, and Palo Alto.
