Shooting Victim Identified

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation have identified the deceased subject from the shooting in Pomeroy as 41-year-old Dale Currie Potter, of Devil’s Lake, North Dakota.
About 2:00 Tuesday morning, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 200 block of Second Street in Pomeroy on a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound. When deputies arrived, they located Potter’s body. No arrests have been made in the case but officials said that they do not believe the public is in any danger. The State Medical Examiner in Ankeny will perform an autopsy on the victim.
