OA-BCIG at Ridge View Basketball Recap

The outcomes in Holstein on Monday were the same as they were in Ida Grove last month, as the Ridge View girls defeated OA-BCIG 52-36.  

Four points was the biggest margin in the 1st half, which produced four lead changes and six ties.  The score was tied at 24-24 at the break.  The Raptors scored the opening seven points of the 3rd quarter to take the lead for good.  

Anya Kistenmacher had a career-high 18 for Ridge View, as they are now 6-6 overall, and 4-3 in the Western Valley Conference.  

Riley Schiernbeck had 11 for the Falcons, as they go to 5-7, 3-4.  

 

The OA-BCIG boys did not trail as they took down Ridge View 49-33.  

The Falcons had a strong beginning, leading 15-2 after the 1st quarter.  Ridge View got within six during the 2nd quarter, but OA-BCIG took a 23-13 lead into halftime, and the advantage remained at double-digits throughout the 2nd half.  

The Falcons had three in double-figures, as William Grote and Cooper DeJean each had 15, and Austin Wardrip added 12.  OA-BCIG improves to 8-4, 7-0.  

Ridge View got 10 points from Bo Clausen, as they go to 4-9, 2-5.  

The OA-BCIG teams play at Westwood on Tuesday, while the Ridge View teams are also on the road Tuesday to take on Siouxland Christian.
