Storm Lake Man Arrested for Alleged Child Sex Abuse

(Storm Lake, IA) -- Last week the Storm Lake Police Department took a report in reference to alleged child sexual abuse.
Police conducted an investigation and allege that 31 year old, Nee Htoo, of Storm Lake sexually assaulted his 9-year-old stepdaughter on multiple occasions in 2016 and 2017 when the victim was six years old.
The victim underwent a forensic investigation conducted by the Mercy One Child Advocacy Center in Sioux City.
Following an investigation on Tuesday evening, the Storm Lake Police Department arrested Htoo. Police subsequently charged Nee Htoo with 3 counts of Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree (class B felony). He was also charged with 1 count of Indecent Contact With a Child (aggravated misdemeanor).
He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $77,000.00 bond.
The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Iowa Department of Human Services and the Mercy One Child Advocacy Center.
