Poky Rolls Past St. Mary's

The Pocahontas Area baseball team defeated Storm Lake St. Mary's 15-0 in five innings at Memorial Field on Wednesday night.  

The Indians scored in every inning, as they racked up 15 hits, including six for extra bases.  Trey Oehlertz had three hits, including a homer, and three RBI's.  Thomas Melohn had three hits and three RBI's, Jace Davidson three hits and two RBI's, and Christian Davidson went four for four with three runs scored.  

Winning pitcher Ryan Anderson threw a two-hitter, and struck out eight.  

Pocahontas Area is now 6-2 overall.  The Indians host Webster City on Thursday.  

Gabe Elsden and Mason Laven each had a hit for the Panthers, as they're now 1-5.  St. Mary's plays at East Sac on Friday.
