A Peterson man was arrested last week on multiple drug-related charges.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, last Tuesday morning November 14th, a Clay County Deputy made contact with 47-year-old Norman Escalera at the intersection of 3rd and Main Streets in Peterson. Escalera had a warrant out of Will County, Illinois for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was found to be in possession of both items during the arrest.
Escalera was charged with 3rd Offense Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class D felony…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Escalera was booked in the Clay County Jail. He was held to appear before a Judge on the charges, and was held on the Will County, Illinois warrant.
