Two residents were arrested on drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant at a Schaller residence.
According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, the initial search warrant last Friday evening was executed to obtain evidence in an ongoing criminal mischief investigation. Two residents of the household, 42-year-old Keegan Cross and 65-year-old Glenda Turnquist were detained. Deputies observed several marijuana plants in various stages of growth in the basement. A second search warrant was obtained and executed for the purpose of searching for controlled substances. A marijuana grow operation was located in the basement which included over 40 marijuana plants, grow lights, and ventilated grow tents.
Cross was charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, a class D felony…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Interference With Official Acts, both simple misdemeanors. Cross was booked into the Sac County Jail on a 56-hundred-dollar bond.
Turnquist was charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Turnquist was booked on a 53-hundred-dollar bond.
Cross and Turnquist have previous convictions for controlled substance violations stemming from similar search warrants at the same location in both 2017 and 2018.
