Two More Arrested in Connection to Storm Lake Burglaries

The Storm Lake Police Department is reporting two more arrests this week in connection with ongoing burglary investigations.

Police on Monday conducted a search warrant at 401 West 4th Street Apartment 2 regarding an ongoing investigation into a string of burglaries that occurred between October and this month. Police allegedly received multiple reports of burglaries to vehicles and garages where electronics, tools, and other items were taken. During the search at the apartment, items that had been stolen were located, along with drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed against 21-year-old Vincen Charley of Storm Lake. He was taken into custody on Wednesday on charges of 3rd Degree Burglary, a class D felony…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Charley was booked in the Buena Vista County Jail on a 53 hundred dollar bond.

Storm Lake Police on Wednesday evening also conducted additional search warrants regarding ongoing burglary investigations at 901 West 6th Street and 810 Hudson Street. During searches, several tools and electronics believed to have been stolen were recovered. An additional suspect, 23-year-old Keioney Phillip of Storm Lake, was taken into custody. He was charged with 5th Degree Theft, a simple misdemeanor. Phillip was booked in the BV County Jail on a 300 dollar bond.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible. Anyone who may have been a victim of a recent burglary involving the theft of tools or electronics in Storm Lake that hasn’t been reported is asked to contact the Storm Lake Police Department.
