A Storm Lake man was arrested on multiple charges, including driving under the influence, following a traffic stop late last week.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, an officer conducted the traffic stop at around 9:30 Friday morning in the 12-hundred block of North Lake Avenue regarding a vehicle that was driving erratically. The driver was identified as 59-year-old Noel Tijerina of Storm Lake. Tijerina allegedly did not possess a valid Iowa driver’s license, and also showed signs of alcohol impairment.
Tijerina was charged with 3rd Offense Operating While Intoxicated, a class D felony…and simple misdemeanor charges including Operation of a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s License, Operation Without an Ignition Interlock Device, and No Valid Proof of Insurance. Tijerina was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 59-hundred dollar bond.
