A phone company issue has been affecting 911 services in Buena Vista County.
The BV County Sheriff’s Office and Storm Lake Police Department last (Wed) evening advised residents that some landline calls to 911 may experience disruptions due to a telephone company experiencing technical issues. If residents call 911 from a landline and receive a rapid busy signal, they should hang up immediately and call from a cell phone.
Authorities have been working with the telephone company to resolve the issue, and it hasn’t been resolved yet as of late this (Thur) morning according to the BV County Sheriff’s Office.
