One person is in custody after a teenager was found dead in Calhoun County.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, authorities found the body of a missing girl this (Mon) morning. The girl’s body was reportedly located in Farnhamville.
A suspect, reportedly a 20-year-old man, is in custody. The victim is reportedly 17-years-old. Charges are pending. No further information, including the names of the suspect and the victim, is available at this time.
Law enforcement has determined that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation and several other agencies, including local police departments.
