Two suspects have been taken into custody in connection to a shooting incident in Pomeroy.
According to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the shooting happened Tuesday morning on Cayuga Street in Pomeroy. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office believes a fight inside an apartment building escalated into “an exchange of gunfire involving multiple individuals.” Two people were hospitalized as a result of the shooting.
The two suspects were located in Manson. The sheriff’s office believes this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The Manson and Fort Dodge Police Departments were also involved in the investigation.
