During the Storm Lake School Board Meeting last week, Superintendent Dr. Stacey Cole highlighted the salary and benefits packages for several contracts within the district. Cole discussed that the district settled with the union on a 3.78 total package increase, which is a 4.28% base wage increase.
Superintendent Cole explained that this package applied to all the contracts, including the teachers, coaches, and extra duty personnel; custodians; support staff (Administrative Assistance, Food Service, Transportation); and the Administrators and Directors.
Speaking of Superintendent Cole, she was given a new contract. Vice President Erika Dierking (Dear-King) called Cole “amazing,” and President David Skibsted piggybacked off of those comments.
The new contract is for three years, worth $213,564 with benefits, set to begin this upcoming school year (2023-2024).
