A Storm Lake woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing incident that happened late last week.
According to Storm Lake Police, the department was called to 914 East Milwaukee Avenue for a welfare check at approximately 6:15pm Monday. A male victim claimed they were assaulted at the residence this past Friday by a female identified as 25-year-old Jasmine Jones. Police allege that Jones and the victim engaged in a domestic dispute in which Jones stabbed the victim with a knife several times in the upper body which caused minor lacerations. The victim denied medical treatment on scene. Jones was located a short time later in Storm Lake, and was taken into custody without incident.
Jones was charged with Willful Injury, a class D felony…and Domestic Assault With a Dangerous Weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was booked without bond into the Buena Vista County Jail.
