Storm Lake Woman Allegedly Struck Individual Through Vehicle Window; Sped Away in Vehicle With Child Present

A Storm Lake woman was arrested over the weekend on multiple charges after the Storm Lake Police Department received a report of an alleged assault.

Officers were called to the 15 hundred block of Lake Avenue at approximately 8am Sunday. After an on-scene investigation, police allege 38-year-old Damicel Quinones Rancano engaged in an altercation and struck a victim through a window of a vehicle. Quinones Rancano then fled the scene in a vehicle, and operated at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner. A minor child was present as a passenger in the vehicle.

Quinones Rancano was located shortly after by police, and taken into custody without incident. She was charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, a class C felony…Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor…and Violation of a No Contact Order and Reckless Driving, both simple misdemeanors. Quinones Rancano was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 12 thousand 175 dollar bond.
