Storm Lake’s City Administration is cited for leadership in building and celebrating diversity and inclusiveness.
City Manager Keri Navratil will accept the award on behalf of the community, which will be presented in September during the International City/County Management Association’s annual conference in Columbus, Ohio.
Navratil says that Storm Lake has utilized a positive and proactive approach in embracing diversity for over three decades. The City has experienced an estimated 50-percent workforce expansion in that time frame. Over 30 different native languages and dialects are represented in Storm Lake.
