The City of Storm Lake reminds residents that vehicles left parked in the street or in downtown parking lots B and D during city Snow Emergencies will be towed at the owner’s expense.
The policy applies to standard vehicles, semi trucks, trailers, snowmobiles, and boats. Snow Emergency parking restrictions run from 10pm to 6am on residential streets and 2am to 6am on Central Business District streets.
Snow Emergencies are declared when the outlook is for three inches or more of snow. Snow Emergency declarations will be shared as early as possible in the day before the parking ban takes effect for overnight.
