Support personnel are expected to arrive in town starting at 8am Sunday. The first wave of bikers is expected to arrive around 10am that day, and the majority of bikers should get into town between 1 and 2pm. Due to the incoming heat wave, bikers will be urged to leave Storm Lake as fast as possible Monday morning.
Turner said the only way for an event of RAGBRAI’s magnitude to happen in Storm Lake is with the help of organizations like the school district. Turner served as the Storm Lake superintendent from 2011 to 2018.
