The Storm Lake Police Association’s Toy and Food Drive is getting underway today (Mon) and runs until Tuesday, December 17th
This marks the 18th year that the Police Association has placed a Christmas tree in the lobby of the Police Department building. Citizens are invited to join association members in donating new unwrapped toys, non-perishable food, and personal hygiene items. After collecting the donated items, the Police Association will take donated items to Upper Des Moines Opportunity to be distributed to children and families in need throughout the community.
Residents are invited to stop by the lobby of the Storm Lake Police Department and place their donated items near the Christmas tree, or give them to on-duty staff at the facility. The Police Department lobby is open from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
