The Storm Lake Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 Block of Highway Street at approximately 11 pm this past Sunday, July 2nd. Upon search from a Storm Lake Police K9, narcotics were located in the vehicle.
A search was then conducted by officers leading to finding marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and six grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale. Shannon Vandom, 52, of Remsen was then arrested with a Controlled Substance Violation (a Class B Felony); Possession of Controlled Substance marijuana (A Serious Misdemeanor); and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (a Simple Misdemeanor).
Vandom was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail, where she was booked and held without bond.
