A special dedication event will be held early next month for Storm Lake’s new pickleball facility.
Community members are invited to help celebrate completion of the new pickleball courts in Chautauqua Park on Saturday, June 1st. The dedication will include a youth pickleball clinic from 10 to 11 that morning. A ribbon cutting will take place at 11am, followed by a pickleball demonstration from 11:15am to 12:30pm. An adult clinic will follow from 12:30 to 1:30pm. The clinics will be led by High School educator Sally Gallagher.
To take part in either the youth or adult clinics, preregister at the Community Education Office. You can also sign up for a spot on the day of the event. Contact Community Education for more information at 732-5711.
Drawings at the event will be held for prizes including a pickleball paddles and ball set, and Storm Lake Pickleball t-shirts. A food truck will be on hand at the park for lunch. The event is being put on by Community Education and the City of Storm Lake.
