The Storm Lake Middle School was evacuated this (Tues) morning due to a bomb threat.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, no devices were located following a comprehensive search of the premises. According to police chief Chris Cole, the department was called to the scene at 10:30 this (Tues) morning. Students were allowed to return to the middle school around noon after the building was determined to be safe.
Chief Cole says no arrests have been made as of late in the noon hour. The investigation is ongoing. The Storm Lake Police Department and personnel from the Storm Lake Fire Department responded to the scene.
