A Storm Lake man was arrested for sexually assaulting a young girl over a span of several months.
Back on June 7th, the Storm Lake Police Department was notified of an alleged belated assault of a juvenile under the age of 16 which occurred at a residence in Storm Lake. Storm Lake Police conducted an investigation in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Human Services and the Mercy One Child Advocacy Center. The investigation determined that between August of last year and February of this year, a man identified as 22-year-old Keichiro Chipiuo of Storm Lake had sexual contact with the female on three occasions.
Chipiuo was arrested on Wednesday. He’s charged with three counts of Assault With Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor. Chipiuo was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a two-thousand dollar bond.
